Air Force investigators, including Bill Moore, the author of the inaugural book on the notorious Roswell UFO incident, eventually paid attention to his narrative.  Unbeknownst to Bennewitz, Moore was commissioned by a group of intelligence agents to monitor him while the Air Force conducted a psychological profile and disinformation campaign against the unsuspecting physicist. In exchange, Air Force Intelligence promised Moore access to classified UFO information.
